There are lots of baby groups out there but did you know this group is very unique as it’s outside! It is for you to connect to other pregnant mothers to be in the bumps group and then to spend some time outside with your baby in the babies group and meet other new parents.
Becoming a mum has always been a life-changing time.
Not only have we experienced pregnancy and birth, we can suddenly be experiencing a new life where nothing feels the same anymore.
Our routines change, friends change, conversations change, sleep patterns change…our focus of life completely changes and we miss some of the life before. You are not alone in this feeling and it doesn't mean its wrong.
We have dealt with the last year of Covid, a winter of lockdowns and increased isolation, I hear the needs of new parents loud and clear….the need for connection, support and safety.
The pandemic closed so many of these opportunities to new mums, and the effect is being severely felt. I have created this group that provides the safety, connection and comfort that new mums need at this time with no judgement and certainly no comparison.
Rather than being focused solely on the babies, our new Mindful Magic for Mums groups and now the Birds, Bees and Bumps/Babies group focus on the parent attending, with an opportunity to breathe, move, relax and take away some super easy and effective mindfulness tools into your everyday life and best of all outdoors in nature.
We walk, we talk and we just wander and listen to each other. Its about connection to your baby and to each other.
When do we just listen, when do we stand outside and take a breath.
This is your chance.
Its not strenuous, its not that physical, we just walk but its refreshing.
This is an opportunity for you to express yourself, chat to others, bond with your baby, relax and unwind.
It doesn’t matter what the babies do during the sessions because we know how important it is for women to have down-time and social interaction during those early stages of a baby’s life.
Whether this is your first baby or your third, the newborn fourth trimester phase and beyond is unique and exhausting in equal parts.
It might have taken a pandemic for us to realise how important this is, but this is a need that has always been there.
It can depend on where we are meeting whether you need to carry baby or can use a buggy.
Starting Solids Workshops
Group £30 pp/couple
The aim of these workshops are to help you feel confident, relaxed and enthusiastic about introducing solids to your baby.
We discuss all options, its not just about Baby Led Weaning including,
Why introduce solid foods
When to start, what age, what time of day
What food to give: different ages, mealtimes
to present the food,
to avoid fussy eater,
to balance with milk,
do you know they are getting enough,
to know if they are choking or gagging
What is BLW
Continues from baby led breast or bottle feeding.
The baby is the only one to put food in to their mouth.
The baby chooses what to eat and in what order.
It is not just finger food.
Finger food, mushed food, pureed food.
Can be given cutlery.
At the end of this workshop you will
Understand that starting solids is a developmental stage
Have information about the different approaches to starting solids, enabling you to make informed decisions about what, when and how is best for your baby
Feel reassured that you can not get it wrong, especially if you follow your babies lead.

Managing my Worries – Age 7-11yrs
A structured 6 week workshop to educate and empower. We will build awareness in the child of themselves, the anxiety cycle and role of the brain in driving anxiety, physical indicators of rising anxiety and triggers, a control activity, two worry brainstorms, How Big Is My Worry? and a weekly calming strategy, positivity activity throughout, visual resources and tools to building coping and calming strategies, a recap plan for worries and visual resources for in the home.
MANAGING ANXIETY - 11-16yrs
The content of this 6 week workshop covers raising self-awareness and identifying triggers, awareness of the anxiety cycle, the role of the protective brain, quantifying worries to build coping skills, physical indicators of rising anxiety, negative brain bias and managing negative thoughts, an awareness of brain healthy lifestyle and culminate in creating a wellbeing plan to empower regular practices moving forward.
Friendship Skills Workshop KS1/2 (5-12yrs)
Another six week workshop, where we have discussions around what a friend is, how we would like to be a friend, activities, positive affirmation cards and certificate. A workbook will be available then serves as a reflection tool and reminder moving forward.

Emotional Regulation – 6-11yrs
This 6 week workshop details our emotional regulation intervention which aims to raise self-awareness, understanding of emotions and anger/anxiety cycle, physical indicators of rising emotions and develop a range of strategies.
Improved emotion regulation leads to benefits in all areas of a child’s life. Children who are able to regulate their emotions pay more attention, work harder, and achieve more in school. They are better able to resolve conflicts with their peers and show lower levels of physiological stress.
They are also better behaved — and more caring towards others. These aim to • raise self-awareness • educate about the anxiety/anger cycle • ascertain understanding of emotions (both in oneself and other) • understand the changes in the brain before and during crisis • an understanding of the physical feelings during the cycle • educate around the optimal time to use strategies for calming • develop a range of strategies • understand the consequences of choices
Lego Therapy was originally developed for children with autism but brick building has been and continues to be used therapeutically with children with other social skill difficulties and communication difficulties including language impairment and social use of language. It promotes development of key communication skills, including attention and listening, vocabulary and concept development, sharing, collaboration.
What Are Emotions? (age 4-6yrs)
What are feelings? Happy, sad, anger, surprised and excited. Resources include emotions scales, range of 5 skin tone colour emotions, blank face pages to be laminated and use with playdoh or whiteboard pens. Young people will learn about each emotion, identify how it feels in the body and to link events to the emotions.
